rich idea?

Admit it. You can’t stand Advertising. Sure, sure, there are a few ads you LOVE. Me too. But all in all - you can live without it. Don’t lie, your fucking TIVO isn’t. :)

It sucks you feel that way. But I get it.

We who work in advertising have been screwing with you for years. We’ve been talking at you when we should have been asking you questions. We’ve been attempting to dazzle you with our catchy tunes, rather than just simply delivering you value. We’ve been disrupting you when we should have been engaging you. We’ve been buying the worlds largest billboards because we can. (And acting like that’s a good thing.)

No more.

I believe in Advertising. Just not that kind. I believe in a world where Advertising is so engaging, so smart, so valuable that people embrace it as a service - not just pass it off as an intrusive annoyance. Making an annoying “AD” is easy (how easy is it to create something when you don’t care about the audience?). But designing a “THING” that someone actually wants (and wants to tell others about) — well that’s just about impossible. Or is it?

I belive in the art of simple, smart, and social: It’s funny, designing something simple and useful is harder than you’d think. And measuring how social and successful it is? Even harder. These pages are dedicated to those who already know “Rich” ideas outpower “Big” ideas. Those that quietly execute “Smart” rather than “Loud.” And all that embrace “Value” over “Intrusiveness.”

This world can happen. But its going to take a lot of people fighting the good fight.

Which side are you on?
